SportsCastr is looking for a lead iOS developer to spearhead future versions of the Company’s app and to build-in new features.

The company’s new app lets anyone go live and look like a professional sportscaster with tools and features that used to only be available in a studio setting. Our investors and advisors include industry greats such as former NBA commissioner David Stern and Syracuse legend Jim Boeheim.

The app allows users to:
  • Go live and include broadcast-quality on-air graphics automatically overlaid on their feed
  • Call games and share reactions with real-time scores and play-by-plays added to their live stream
  • Talk about trending sports news with a picture-in-picture layout just like you see on TV
  • Chat with other viewers in real time and follow their favorite personalities
  • Share their broadcasts on social and be the star of your their channel

As the lead iOS developer, you will interface with our CEO, CTO and designer to integrate new features, maintain and improve current functionality, and collaborate on future plans. You will work on future versions of the app that will include functionality such as:
  • Subscriptions and digital goods (IAPs)
  • Group broadcasting/video chat
  • Advanced video overlays and effects
  • Social discovery and sharing features

The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge and experience with:
  • Building native iOS apps using Swift
  • Integrating IAPs and premium subscriptions
  • Experience with Wowza or other related services
  • Integration with web platforms and APIs
  • Bonus points for direct involvement with a live-video platform
  • Bonus points for experience working in startup environment
